Period Poverty, social media campaign, 2018 Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, graphics created and mocked up to proper dimensions on various social media platforms
This project served as an exploration of the many processes involved in taking a concept from initial brief to finished product. Assigned to teams, the task was to develop various visual solutions intended to provide imagery for an upcoming local campaign that would be promoted entirely on social media. Each group presented mock-ups for the client’s final selection. Our team received second-place honours for our colourful, typographic solutions.
The focus was to begin shifting negative stereotypes that exist around feminine products. This goal would help to encourage comfortable discussion around the topic, as well as to increase donations of these necessary products to the Medicine Hat and District Food Bank.
These images would each display alongside corresponding hashtags. The particular designs shown here were my own contributions for the team’s final submission. The feminine products in each example featured commandingly within their individual compositions. They are surrounded by bright, cheerful colours and playful typography.
